Source Code Offer

Qusto Community Edition (CE) is free software under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. This page is the Corresponding Source offer required by AGPL §13 for users who interact with our modified CE over a network.

What is covered

Qusto CE is our fork of Plausible Analytics. It powers the analytics engine behind Qusto Cloud (app.qusto.io) and is available for self-hosting.

Qusto Professional / Enterprise services (dashboard, ecommerce API, attribution, licensing) are separate programs that talk to CE over HTTP. They are not AGPL-licensed and are not part of this offer. See the CE LICENSE and the EE NOTICE for the boundary.

Where to get the source

Matching the deployed version

For every CE image we run in production, Corresponding Source is the git commit that image was built from.

  1. Ask the running instance for its build metadata: GET https://app.qusto.io/api/system (JSON field build.commit / build.version).
  2. Open that commit on GitHub: https://github.com/Qusto-io/qusto-ce/tree/<commit> or download a tarball: https://github.com/Qusto-io/qusto-ce/archive/<commit>.tar.gz
  3. Prefer a release tag when present: https://github.com/Qusto-io/qusto-ce/releases (tags of the form v*-ce map to production images — see roadmap item QUSTO-689).

Self-hosters building from source already hold Corresponding Source; this page is primarily for users of Qusto-operated CE.

Written offer (AGPL §6 / §13)

If the public repository is temporarily unavailable, or you need a copy of the exact Corresponding Source for a CE version you used, email legal@qusto.io (CC security@qusto.io).

We will provide a complete machine-readable copy of the Corresponding Source for the CE version you specify, at no more than our reasonable cost of physically performing source distribution, for as long as we continue to offer the network service and for at least three years after we last convey that version.

Please include: the CE version or commit SHA (if known), approximate date of use, and a preferred delivery method (HTTPS link preferred).

How to build

Build and run instructions live in the CE repository README and Docker / Compose files. Community Edition builds use MIX_ENV=ce and exclude proprietary extra/ paths.
